Introduction
BigQuery is a web service for doing interactive analysis of large datasets. It supports very fast execution of select-and-aggregate queries on tables with billions of records. BigQuery is:
* Scalable
You can execute queries over billions of rows of data.
* Interactive
Typical queries execute in seconds.
* Simple/Familiar
A SQL dialect is used for query expression.
* Compatible with Google Storage for Developers
You can use data sets that are stored on Google Storage for Developers.
The BigQuery API includes methods that you can use to retrieve tables' schemas or query tables. Authentication is accomplished through Client Login, AuthSub and OAuth. Both RESTful and JSON-RPC methods are available.
Quota Policy
BigQuery may limit the maximum rate of incoming requests and enforce appropriate quotas. Specific policies vary depending on resource availability, user profile, service usage history, and other factors, and are subject to change without notice.

Access Credentials
You do not need any special access keys or credentials to use BigQuery's API. However, you must authenticate each BigQuery request with the same Google account that you used to enroll in the trusted tester program.
Depending on how you use the API, you might need developer keys for the Google Storage API. For more information, see Developer Keys and Key Management in the Google Storage Getting Started document.
